Data Breakdown of CSM Students

I was doing some breakdowns of students who have been a part of Central Student Ministries over the summer and found some interesting data.

Generic breakdown:

  • 91% are high school students, 9% are junior high students
  • 58% are female, 42% are male
  • 28% of students attend El Sobrante Christian School
  • 12% attend Pinole Valley High School
  • 34% attend other public schools (Hercules Middle, Richmond High, Miramonte High, Vacaville High, Alhambra High, De Anza High, Benicia High, Clayton Valley High)
  • 14% attend local continuation schools (Vista, Middle College, Insight School)
  • 12% attend other private schools (Salesian, Berean Christian)

And by my approximation:

  • 53% of students have weak to no Christian reinforcement at home
  • 35% of students initially came to CSM with little or no relationship with God
  • Of those 35%, 50% of those have either asked Jesus into their heart and/or made significant steps forward in their relationship with God!
