As the 2010 NFL season is upon us, I’d like to make a couple predictions. Some are more outlandish than others. Regardless, here they are:
- Bret Farve will retire. For real this time
- NY Jets dethrone the Patriots by taking the AFC East
- …but Brady still has an incredible year (in the final year of his contract. Coincidence?)
- AFC North Champs: Baltimore Ravens
- AFC South Champs: Can you really bet against the Colts? I can’t.
- AFC East Champs: San Diego, but not by much
- …with the Patriots and Texans playing in Week 1 of the playoffs
- NFC West: 49ers with a 10-6 record
- NFC North: Green Bay by Aaron’s arm
- NFC East: Dallas Cowboys
- NFC South: Atlanta Falcons– he said wha?!?
- …but the New Orleans Saints and NY Giants still make the payoffs as wild card teams
- Raiders go 8-8 and complain about being cheated out of at least 2 games
- Offensive Rookie of the Year: , Ryan Mathews RB, San Diego Chargers
- Defense Rookie of the Year: Rolando McClain ILB, Oakland Raiders
- The MVP: Aaron Rogers, QB, Green Bay Packers
- Chris Johnson of the Titans will not be the leading rusher
- QB’s Orton, Quinn, and Tebow will all start at least once for the Broncos
- The Eagles go 0-2 to McNabb and the Redskins
- Super Bowl Champions: Payton Manning, with the Indianapolis Colts in a supporting role (remember, it’s a contract year for Payton, too).
Bonus: The best team to win less than 6 games: The Detroit Lions.

I’m planning on a repeat Superbowl for the Saints!
interesting predictions… I was planning on doing my own blog like this one too… guess we can compare
As much as I wouldn’t mind another Super Bowl to New Orleans, they had a magical year… and that’s tough to conger up 2-years of miracles for a repeat.
Steve, we’ll compare at the end of the year and see who gets the most right! That’d be fun.
yes we will, mine is up… lemme know what you think!
Steve, we disagree on just about everything! lol
Josh,
Miracles can happen two years in a row…especially if they keep playing like they have been:-)
